Gilbert, Ariz. - The town of Gilbert in Arizona has announced its office hours and trash schedule for the upcoming Christmas holiday. On Monday, December 25, the municipal offices will be closed in observance of Christmas and will reopen on Tuesday, December 26.

Despite the holiday closure, residents can expect their regular curbside trash and recycling pickup to continue as scheduled. The town assures residents that holidays never affect pickup days. To ensure a smooth pickup process, residents are advised to space out their blue and black cans a minimum of 2-4 feet from each other and 5 feet from any objects such as signs or vehicles. Additional tips for proper trash and recycling disposal can be found on the town's official trash and recycling pages.

However, it is important to note that there will be no bulk trash pickup during the week of Christmas. The bulk trash pickup service will resume on January 1. Residents are encouraged to visit gilbertaz.gov/BulkTrash to check their pickup schedule or to learn more about the program.

For those who have household hazardous waste to dispose of, Gilbert's Household Hazardous Waste Facility will remain open during the Christmas holiday. The facility will operate on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 AM to 2:30 PM. Residents can visit gilbertaz.gov/HHW to find the facility's location, operating hours, and a list of accepted items.

In case of any issues or non-emergency concerns, residents can report them using Gilbert 311. Missed trash pickups, maintenance issues in parks, and other non-emergency matters can be reported through the Gilbert 311 service. To report an issue, residents can visit gilbertaz.gov/311.
