The City of Chandler has been recognized as one of the top ten Digital Cities Survey award recipients by the Center for Digital Government (CDG). This annual survey acknowledges cities that utilize technology to address social challenges, enhance services, and strengthen cybersecurity. Chandler secured second place nationally in the category for cities with a population between 250,000 and 499,999. As of November 1, 2023, Chandler's population was estimated at 287,024.
Chandler is committed to innovation and technology, seeking smart solutions and innovative ideas that promote efficiency and connectivity. Mayor Kevin Hartke expressed pride in the recognition: “It is an honor for Chandler to be recognized with a Digital Cities award this year.
