Recognizing excellence within the Kyrene School District has been a tradition for eight years, honoring over 800 employees through the Kyrene Values Awards. This initiative encourages Team Kyrene to nominate peers who exemplify the district's core values: Connection, Collaboration, Compassion, Courage, and Curiosity. These values are central to the responsibilities of educators towards students, colleagues, and the community.

The awards are distributed quarterly by the Superintendent to 12 recipients selected from nominations by the Kyrene Values Committee. Recently, quarter three awardees were celebrated among their students and peers.

The quarter three awardees include Scott Rapier (PE Teacher at Kyrene Altadeña), Kathy Cota (1st Grade Teacher at Kyrene del Cielo), Amy Dill (ESS Certified Facilitator at District Office), Jazzy Fey (Administrative Support Specialist at District Office), Adrienne Hekster-Babic (K-5 Instructional Assistant at Kyrene de la Estrella), Taylor Medina (IA Resource Preschool CCDS at Kyrene de la Estrella), Jesse Oates (Program Coordinator II at Kyrene de la Estrella), Mindy Johnson (4th Grade Teacher at Kyrene de la Mariposa Computer Science Academy), Carrin Collins-Rowe (Teacher/Academic SEI Interventionist at Kyrene de los Niños), Aviana Kooi (IA Resource CCD at C.I. Waggoner), Kayla Langston (Teacher Librarian at C.I. Waggoner), and Margaret Rodriguez (Principal at C.I. Waggoner).

Each awardee received a $100 Amazon gift card sponsored by CORE Construction.
