Mesa opens registration for fall parks & recreation programs

Despite triple-digit temperatures, fall is approaching, and so is registration for Mesa Parks and Recreation's fall season programs and activities. Registration is now open for Mesa residents for the 2024 fall season, covering August, September, and October. The city offers a variety of programs and activities for all ages and abilities.

Adult sports include tennis, pickleball, softball, cornhole, and water exercises. Youth sports feature flag football (both co-ed and girls only), lacrosse, tennis, and soccer. Adaptive programs are also available, such as bocce, swimming, and yoga.

Additional offerings include tennis and pickleball lessons, swim lessons, school break camps, teen recreation activities, and enrichment classes like tai chi, LEGO Roboteering, dance classes, Dungeons & Dragons sessions among others.

Special events hosted by Mesa Parks and Recreation this fall include the Goodbye Summer Swim Party on August 10th; Celebrate Mesa on October 12th; and Pumpkin Splash on October 25th and 26th. A comprehensive list of programs can be found in the fall PLAYBOOK Magazine.

Non-residents can begin registering on Monday, July 15 at 8 a.m. Various registration methods are available:

- In-person at the Mesa Parks and Recreation Office located at 708 W. Baseline Road during office hours from Monday to Thursday between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration forms are available in both English and Spanish. For questions or more information call 480-644-PLAY (7529). Some residents may qualify for the MRS Discount which provides a 50% discount on youth and adaptive programs.
