Chandler City Council has approved a construction services agreement with Hunter Contracting Co. for the initial procurement of specific construction materials for new pickleball and tennis courts at Tumbleweed Park.
Pickleball has a loyal following in Chandler, and in October 2023, the City Council approved the design of new courts at Tumbleweed Park. The pickleball complex will be located at the southeast corner of Germann Road and Pioneer Parkway.
The project will add 18 outdoor pickleball courts along with restrooms, practice areas, equipment storage, drinking fountains, and parking. Additionally, three tennis courts and lighting updates at the Chandler Tennis Center are included in the plans.
The final construction contract is scheduled to go before City Council in September 2024. If approved, construction will begin in fall 2024, with an expected completion date in fall 2025. For project updates, visit Chandler pickleball.
