Comtech (NASDAQ: CMTL), a global technology leader, has announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Melville, NY to Chandler, Arizona. The new headquarters encompasses approximately 150,000 square feet of office, engineering, and manufacturing space aimed at enhancing operations and accelerating the delivery of technologies to customers worldwide.

The decision to relocate was initially disclosed in March 2024. It aligns with Comtech’s goal of optimizing its corporate infrastructure and fostering innovation. Chandler is home to several major Comtech customers and provides access to a leading technology corridor known for its talent pool.

“Chandler has established itself as a leading technology corridor in the United States,” said John Ratigan, Interim CEO of Comtech. “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Arizona and excited to benefit from the City of Chandler’s continued commitment to innovation. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for the Company, and our new headquarters will play a central role in helping Comtech deliver new resilient, network-agnostic, software-defined communications capabilities to some of the world’s most demanding customers, including the Department of Defense.”

To commemorate the move, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held today with Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, and other business leaders. Although employees began moving into the new office in 2023, Comtech has been active in Arizona for over 25 years.

“Today marks a momentous day for Arizona as we welcome Comtech,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “Comtech’s Chandler headquarters will bring enhanced economic growth opportunities and highlight Arizona’s attractive business environment.”

Comtech's technologies serve various commercial and government clients including humanitarian agencies and emergency response agencies. The new offerings being developed aim to improve connectivity services globally.

“I am thrilled that Comtech has chosen Chandler as the site for their new global headquarters,” said U.S. Representative Greg Stanton. “The investment underscores the potential they see in our workforce and economic climate.”

Comtech continues its community engagement through partnerships and workforce development programs such as summer internships for local students. The company also collaborates with organizations like the Society of Women Engineers at Arizona State University.

“We are excited to join Comtech in celebrating their new global headquarters in Chandler," said Mayor Kevin Hartke. "Publicly traded headquarters do not relocate often but we have found that Chandler's robust talent pipeline makes a compelling case."

As part of its expansion efforts, Comtech is hiring for various positions based in Chandler.
