Falcon Field Airport is set to host its first Haunted Hangar family event, scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event will take place at the historic Falcon Field West World War II Hangar located at 4626 E Fighter Aces Drive.
The airport has been a part of history since its establishment in 1941 as a British training base for cadets during World War II. The hangar holds historical significance and features vintage aircraft that will be displayed during the event. For Halloween, the venue will be transformed into a spooky yet family-friendly setting.
Various community organizations will participate by offering treats to trick-or-treaters. These include the Education and Workforce Center, Mesa Public Library, Mesa Fire Department, Mesa Police Department, Mesa Solid Waste, Aviation Explorers, Wings of Flight Foundation, Crumble Cookie at Recker and Longbow Parkway, Halloran Insurance Agency, Self-Development Academy, and Chick-fil-A at Power and McKellips.
Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for added fun. This event offers families an opportunity to enjoy Halloween festivities while learning about Falcon Field Airport's historical importance.
