Moms for Liberty has endorsed Sara Jarman in his race for a seat on the Higley Unified School District (HUSD) Governing Board. Early voting began on October 9 and extends through November 1 for the November 5 general election.

Jarman said she is running for the school board "to advocate for my children and all students in our district. It’s time to end the harmful experimentation with modern educational theories; our children deserve better."

"We must prioritize their innocence and vulnerability while fostering academic excellence," she told Gilbert Sun News. "By returning to foundational practices and ensuring fiscal transparency, we can create a safe environment free from harmful influences. The community is watching, and together, we can make a positive change for our students."

According to her campaign website, Jarman will prioritize maintaining an age-appropriate curriculum, applying fiscal responsibility, and promoting academic excellence. Jarman will also prioritize transparency and plans to work to make HUSD accountable to all interested parties through detailed reporting on budgets, performance, and decision making.

Jarman supports the presence of school resource officers on middle school and high school campuses. She also supports school vouchers and views them as a means of preserving parental rights for those parents who have concerns about schools pushing agendas that contradict families' beliefs and values.

In an October Arizona Republic questionnaire, Jarman said she favors targeted support for students learning English and for disabled students, enhancing STEM programs, investing in classroom resources and increasing support staff, enforcing rules and taking appropriate disciplinary actions to protect students and teachers, and maintaining a focus on academics in school while leaving health- and sex-related topics to parents to discuss with their children at home.

Per the HUSD Governing Board's website, the Board comprises five members. Terms are four years and staggered so that two or three members are elected every two years.

Moms for Liberty is a parental-rights-in-education advocacy group founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, two former school board members. According to their website, "Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
