The Franklin Accelerated Academy-Downtown Campus has announced several upcoming events and initiatives aimed at supporting students and families. Principal Merritt expressed enthusiasm about the return of students from Winter Break, noting that report cards for Grading Period 3 have been distributed. "We are looking forward to continuing our mission of educating students in a positive learning environment with high expectations and an accelerated curriculum all the way through the end of the school year," said Principal Merritt.

In support of family engagement, Mrs. Argomaniz, Family Support Specialist, and Mrs. Taylor, School Improvement Coach, will be available after school Mondays through Thursdays starting January 13th to assist families with homework and other academic needs. Parents can either drop in or schedule appointments.

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year begins on January 21st for siblings of current students, with open registration commencing on January 27th. The campus also continues open enrollment for next year and offers weekly tours for interested families.

Arts and Letters Night is scheduled for January 31st from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Students' artwork and writing will be displayed, with awards given across grade levels.

Upcoming events include Spirit Day on January 10th themed as Superhero Day (excluding masks or Halloween costumes), Student Council Elections on the same day, Mother Daughter Night on January 13th, Martin Luther King/Civil Rights Day on January 20th when there will be no school, Battle of the Books on January 23rd, and Arts and Letters Night on January 31st.
