On February 10, 2025, Rep. Greg Stanton expressed his intention to provide clarity amidst the "chaos and confusion coming out of Washington." Later that day, Stanton announced his co-sponsorship of the TRUST in Congress Act aimed at prohibiting members of Congress from owning and trading individual stocks. He emphasized that Americans should not worry about their representatives making decisions influenced by personal financial interests. His statement on this initiative can be found here.
In another tweet posted on February 11, 2025, Stanton reflected on America's founding principles of checks and balances among government branches.
