Rep. Andy Biggs, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arizona's 5th district, recently shared his views on government spending and border security through a series of tweets. He also expressed condolences following a tragic incident in Scottsdale.

On February 10, 2025, Rep. Biggs criticized Congress for not adhering to the legal requirement of passing twelve individual appropriations bills annually. Instead, he noted that "Congress has passed 35 CRs in the last decade." He praised former President Trump for creating an initiative to address government spending waste: "President Trump created @DOGE to dig up and cut wasteful government spending." Biggs described this as "a great way to bend our spending curve down."

Later that day, Biggs commented on efforts by former President Trump and his administration regarding immigration control. He highlighted the work being done to deport illegal aliens and secure borders: "President Trump and his Administration are hard at work deporting illegal aliens and securing our border." Additionally, he mentioned an initiative from the Freedom Caucus aimed at providing resources for these efforts: "@FreedomCaucus's Emergency Border Control Resolution is the first step toward reconciliation..."

In another tweet dated February 11, 2025, Rep. Biggs expressed sorrow over a plane crash in Scottsdale: "I’m saddened to hear of today’s tragic plane crash in Scottsdale." He extended thoughts and prayers to those affected: "Cindy and I are praying for the victims and their families."
