Rep. Greg Stanton addresses airport tragedy and judiciary independence

Rep. Greg Stanton, who represents Arizona's 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various topics including a tragic accident, judiciary independence, and an upcoming virtual town hall. Stanton has been serving in Congress since 2019 after replacing Kyrsten Sinema and holds degrees from Marquette University and the University of Arizona.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Stanton expressed his condolences regarding an incident at Scottsdale Airport: "Heartbroken to hear about the tragic accident at Scottsdale Airport. My thoughts are with the loved ones of the victim, and I’m wishing a speedy recovery for the four who were injured."

Later that day, he commented on remarks made by Speaker Johnson concerning judicial independence: "Speaker Johnson is dead wrong here. Our democracy depends on a separate, equal and independent judiciary. Judges swore an oath to the U.S. Constitution, not the president."

In another tweet on February 11, Stanton invited constituents to join him for a virtual town hall where he would discuss actions by the Trump Administration and efforts to protect services important to families in his district: "Join me on Facebook for a virtual town hall today at 5 pm MST! I’ll be breaking down the Trump Administration’s recent actions and what I'm doing in Congress to protect services #AZ04 families rely on. We'll be joined by a very special guest, Assistant Democratic Leader…"
