In contrast, LSAs function on a pay-per-lead model, appear above traditional paid ads in Google search results, and require business verification for eligibility.

The importance of directory submissions for local SEO was highlighted during the workshop. Participants learned about monitoring local SEO rankings and using social media alongside AI-driven search tools to enhance local SEO efforts. Best practices shared included using local hashtags on platforms like TikTok and Instagram to boost discoverability and posting engaging content like behind-the-scenes videos and customer testimonials.

Website content optimization for AI-driven search queries was also discussed, with an emphasis on structuring data for improved visibility.
