Senior Spotlight: Casteel High School's Ava Wheaton succeeded in her academics & athletics. She graduated Cum Laude & received the High School Academic Excellence Award four times. She received numerous awards including these for the 21-22 school year: 5A All-conference: 1st Team Defender, CUSD: Defensive Player of the year, All-Region 1st Team Defender, All-Arizona 2022 HS Girls Team Arizona Republic Honorable Mention, All-Academic SPORTS360AZ 1ST Team, & 5A State Champion.
