Chamber Awards Scholarships to Chandler-Gilbert Students

Schoolaward2

This year the Chandler Chamber of Commerce celebrated their 35th Anniversary of the Chandler Chamber Community Awards, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos. The awards honor local businesses, educators and community members for their outstanding contributions to Chandler. In addition to these accolades, the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation  (https://www.chandlerchamber.com/chandler-chamber-community-foundation) awards scholarships to Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) students.

At the June 2022 event, themed Chamber-Opoly, the Foundation awarded three students this $2,500 scholarship: Trisha Begody, Sommer Meadows, and Abraham Richardson.

Trisha Begody

Trisha is a member of the Navajo Tribe and a resident of Chandler. She is an entrepreneur and owner of Sadie Mae Co., designing and selling traditional modern fashion for Indigenous people. Trisha is going to CGCC and majoring in Organizational Management to help grow her fashion business.

Sommer Meadows

Sommer is a spring CGCC graduate who transferred to ASU. An honors student and Collegiate DECA member, Sommer is going on to complete her Business Management degree. Her future plans are to work in the aviation industry with a position in finance or management.

Abraham Richardson

Abraham is a Chandler native who is pursuing a Business Administration Associates Degree at CGCC. He is an extremely positive and passionate individual who wants to “leave his mark” on today’s business world. Abraham not only wants to find his own success — he is dedicated to giving back and helping others.

Thank you to the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation for supporting CGCC students! These students will be diligently working to become assets to Chandler and the surrounding communities.
