Dr. Andi Fourlis, the Superintendent of Mesa Public Schools, has announced her retirement effective June 30, 2025. Dr. Fourlis was appointed as superintendent in 2020 and has since led the district through various milestones, focusing on personalizing education for students to ensure they are prepared for college, careers, and community life.

"It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve this community as superintendent," stated Dr. Fourlis. She emphasized her commitment to serving each student according to their individual needs and strengths during her tenure.

Under her leadership, Mesa Public Schools have seen advancements in redesigning learning experiences, staff collaboration, and community engagement with a focus on student success. The Governing Board of Mesa Public Schools acknowledged Dr. Fourlis' contributions and dedication to the district's mission.

"The Board is grateful to Dr. Fourlis for her years of service to Mesa Public Schools. Her visionary leadership has had a positive impact on our students, families and community," said Board President Marcie Hutchinson. She praised Dr. Fourlis as "the ultimate collaborator" who established innovations that have positioned the district for future success.

The announcement allows the Governing Board time to initiate the search for a new superintendent before the typical recruitment season begins. This timing aims to attract top candidates and ensure a smooth transition in leadership.

The Governing Board will soon outline the next steps in finding a successor who will continue efforts to improve student outcomes within the district.
