This Friday marks the end of the first grading period at Franklin Accelerated Academy-Downtown Campus, with an early release scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Principal Tamara Merritt announced that students will be dismissed early to allow teachers time to prepare report cards. Band and orchestra classes will not be held on this day.

Looking ahead, the school is hosting its first Family Fun Night on Tuesday, September 17th, at Peter Piper Pizza located at Gilbert and Baseline. The event is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with proceeds from purchases benefiting the Franklin Parent Organization. "I will be there ready to play some skeeball! Hope to see you there!" stated Principal Merritt.

Parent Teacher Conference Week is scheduled for September 23rd through September 27th. These conferences are mandatory, requiring families to attend two in-person meetings each year. A link for sign-ups will be sent out this Friday via Sign-Up Genius. During this week, students will also have early release at 12:45 p.m.

Coinciding with conference week is the Fall Book Fair organized by the Franklin Parent Organization. The fair will run from Monday, September 23rd through Thursday, September 26th between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and on Friday, September 27th from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.
