Santa Claus joins Merry Main Street festivities in downtown Mesa

Santa Claus is set to visit downtown Mesa during the holiday season as part of the Merry Main Street festivities. He will be available on Sundays for free photos and to hear Christmas wishes, in addition to his Friday and Saturday appearances.

Santa will make his visits at The Post, a city-owned community space located at 26 N. Macdonald. His schedule includes Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This marks the second year he will be appearing at this location.

Merry Main Street features various activities such as the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, open daily until January 11; free Holiday Movies at the Plaza every Friday through January 3, with "Elf" showing on December 6 at 6 p.m.; live music performances by Mesa's Christmas Tree on Saturdays, including Stereohead on December 7 at 6 p.m.; Bingles, the Gnome on the Roam offering weekly clues for prizes via social media; and Jack Frost's Food Truck Forest operating Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at Pioneer Park.

The event is presented by AT&T in collaboration with several partners including the City of Mesa, Mesa Parks and Recreation, City of Mesa Water Resources, Downtown Mesa Association, Visit Mesa, Mesa Chamber of Commerce, Prensa Arizona, Delta Hotels, Benedictine University, Caliber, Legacy Traditional Schools, Nesbitt Contracting Power Renewal by Andersen Valley Metro VCA Animal Referral & Emergency Center of Arizona Sysco Okland.
