Rio Salado College is set to host its 7th annual Dash with Splash event on April 5 at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. The event, aimed at supporting the Rio Salado Jo C. Bennett Student Assistance Fund, offers participants a chance to engage in a charitable cause through running activities.
The Dash with Splash will begin at 7:30 a.m., featuring multiple race options including a 5K, 10K, and a one-mile run. Participants unable to attend in person can opt for a virtual run.
"Dash with Splash is a family-friendly event," organizers said. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome; however, roller blades, skates, skateboards, or motorized devices are prohibited on the courses.
Registration can be completed online prior to the event or onsite from 6:30 a.m. All participants will receive custom medals and those attending in person can enjoy refreshments before and after the race along with special event t-shirts.
Early bird registration prices are available until January 31: $35 for the 10K, $25 for the 5K, and $15 for the Fun Run. Prices will increase on February 1 and again on March 1.
