Rep. Greg Stanton, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 4th district since 2019, shared his views on various political issues through a series of tweets on March 13, 2025.

In one tweet posted at 00:20:24 UTC, Stanton criticized former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk for allegedly attempting to shut down the Department of Education. He expressed concern that their actions could negatively impact children in favor of providing tax cuts for billionaires. "Trump and Musk are trying to shut down the Department of Education. They are throwing our kids under the bus to fund tax cuts for billionaires."

Later, at 01:08:17 UTC, Stanton addressed a clean continuing resolution intended to keep the government operational while allowing Congress time to develop a bipartisan funding agreement. He urged Speaker Johnson to schedule a vote on this resolution by stating, "A clean 30-day continuing resolution is ready to go—one that keeps the government open AND gives Congress time to hammer out an actual bipartisan funding deal."

In another tweet at 01:58:09 UTC, Stanton highlighted the importance of federal support for local leaders and mentioned his discussion with leaders from across the country and fellow former mayor Anthony Foxx about navigating challenges during Trump's administration. He stated, "Local leaders know how to get stuff done—but it sure helps when they can count on the federal government to be a reliable partner!"
